does anyone know the history behind the fish as a symbol for Christianity? It's a cool story. ICHTHUS is Greek for fish. and the letters I. CH. TH. U. S. are the first letters in the Greek for Jesus Christ Son of God our Saviour I =J, CH=Christ, TH = God U= son of, S =our saviour.
Christians used the fish symbol to point the way through the catacombs in Rome when they were being persercuted by the Romans as the way to go to get to safe, secret meeting places.

Maybe Carl's fish is pointing to Ontario?!

Happy belated birthday and congrats Carl. I personally found retirement very boring. I am happy to be back at work even though it's part time @ 5 hours a day but a bonus I work for an automotive supply place and get my parts at cost plus 15% !

Shoot, I just checked and you're 9 years older than me! Are you still loving getting up and going to work? I am, but I worried that might end if I kept the manager's position. That is why I gave it up originally 2 years ago.

If you still love it, then you and I are a dying breed, if I can believe most of the parts managers I talk to anyway.

Yea still loving it, does get overwhelming at times, go to work at 6 go home at 6 with an 1hr and 1/2 break in the afternoon, volunteer my time with the Rebels hockey organization as an off ice official, treasurer of the Optimist Club, major sponsor of the Rock'n Red Deer Superrun (next one 2012 Aug Long) and love my 67 and car shows so no dull moments in my life.

Yes we are a dying breed among Parts Managers but then that makes us unique dosen't it, and I have a great crew.

I agree that a smaller part time job would be OK I volunteer drive 4 trips 2 days a week and am on stand by for driving at Car Quest...
