a few ? on my new pontiac

so i just got a 64 pontiac laurentian, and i am hoping to get some info on it.
dose the 64 have the same body mounts and suspension  as the impala and biscayne, i can't find parts for the pontiac but can find everything for the chevs.
hoping to have this back on the road this spring. and dose anyone know if there are web site for pontiac parts, i do need a driver side lower rear 1/4. but all in all the car is in great shape.

...great lookin' 2 dr. post!! Looks like it's a V8 - some wheels, a little "drop" and duallies with Cherry Bombs would make it a "super cruiser". Or you could simply leave it stock and it still has a great look...

SORRY I MISSED THIS ELROY. YES I STILL HAVE IT. MY GARAGE FINALLY GOT UP, SO IT IS NOW BACK INSIDEsmile. I STARTED GOING THRU IT TO GET IT RUNNING WITH THE 6bleh. STILL NEED TO DRAIN THE TANK AND SEE IF IT WILL FIRE AFTER 38 YEARS OF SITTING IDLEconfuse. PROBALY WILL LEAVE IT NOW UNTIL SPRING AS I DID NOT GET ANY HEAT OR POWER TO GARAGE YET. I STILL WOULD LIKE TO GET A 409 IN IT, BUT I WILL GET IT RUNNING AS IS FOR THE TIME BEING SO AT LEAST I CAN MOVE IT AROUND UNDER HER OWN POWER.

Hey Jonny Tooth, welcome! Your Laurentian looks quite nice. Stock or modified it is nice to see another 64 2-door post out there. Years ago I nearly bought a 64 Strato Chief for $625 but bought a 125 Yamaha instead.

BTW, Antique Chev has moved to a location west of Dundas & Waterdown, east of Rocton & north of Copetown: http://www.antiquechev.com/moved.htm

if worst comes to worst, you could likely fabricate a patch panel for the lwr. 1/4. Neat Post car,is it a 'stick car or a "powerslide" you know slip & slide with Powerglide. Nothin beats the coolness of a 2dr. post with a 4 or 5 speed on the floor!!! Gotta DO IT!!!!

Antique Chev parts is not in Toronto. They are in Dundas, Ontario. Their number is (905) 627-3210. The guys their are very helpful and they may be able to source the Pontiac quarters. Obviously they can get anything that is reproduced for Chevrolet. Good luck with the sweet 64 Pontiac you got there brother. Cheers. George.

I didn't inhale! wink

It was actually the late 70s. I passed on a 64 Strato Chief 4-door 230 3-speed because I thought I would be putting too much into repairs & insurance (right, those things are easy to work on and easy to insure but I was 17 and knew everything). I bought a practically new DT125 as my first bike and had it until 1984. I owned a bunch of bikes between the time I bought it and sold it. I am down to 1 bike, the 1984 Honda XL350R I bought new and it is still like new.
