(Member-lotsatas) Paul from Waterloo, was in Grand Bend this weekend, and came up to meet me this afternoon.. We had a nice visit and show and tell time! Paul lives in a area, close to my daughter in Waterloo.. Paul is still working everyday, but only 1/2 days 6am-6-7pm lol He has a lot of nice Canadian Firebirds I think the count is 8 lol He was driving his beautifull yellow 78 Bird! Its a fully restored by Paul, Hot Rod Nice wheels, and a "chrome addicts" engine compartment .. My wife loves it! Guess I'll have to trade the Camaro for a yellow one... She took some pictures (attached) and made a camera video We should make a tour, to his place some weekend! He says he has a BBQ....
I must add (as usual) Jonathan and Paul, were even nicer in person.... lol lol
It was a beautiful day for a cruise and I am glad I dropped in to chat with you Carl. I enjoyed our visit and you certainly are full of knowlege. I could listen to you for hours. You are the first guy from this site that I have actually met in person. Hey , I liked your idea of having a BBQ at my place in Waterloo. Might have to plan on that next summer if anyone is interetsed in travelling to Waterloo. I had planned on attending the one you guys had this year until the date got changed which didn't work for me. I hope I didn't overstay my welcome and I didn't know I stayed long enough for your wife to do a full coverage of my car.
P.S. - I look forward to the day when I can retire also, but then I might have to get rid of a few cars.

Barb took a video, and I posted it to You Tube Now Paul is famous!
On my Internet Explorer (IE6) I could "copy and past" addresses, and it would post here, with the ability to have you, click on it, and you would go to the address...
Since I downloaded FireFox, I can't seem to so the same!
Any HELP?

I made the link live by putting the curser at the last letter and hitting the space bar. It will turn blue or purple... Edit you post and try for yourself!!!

A BBQ sounds great. Where there's food, I'm there!
Won't be this year anymore, but I will definately keep it the plans for next season. I am not sure where everyone is from so ..... is Waterloo a realistic spot? or does that even matter? A cruise to a BBQ is a cruise to a BBQ ..no matter where it's held.
Don't get all funny on citrus colors. If you want yellow, get a Challenger...but for heaven's sake don't even think about letting go of the Camaro...unless you want to sell it to me.

The yellow color of the car is actually a Mopar color. It's 1970 Lemon Twist.

Funny... I just redid your post and both went live???
So, you are placing your cursor after the letter "A", then as it is flashing, you hit the space bar?? It turned color but still doesn't work?? Must be your firewall then as I do not have it....

Sounds like Paul might have modified the engine a bit...
Actually a bit too much modification and a little lack of knowledge. I used to race it in Grand Bend in the nineties and I always thought I needed to go faster, so I did some upgrades. The cam upgrade and intake etc. was easy but I decided to plunk some Ram Air III heads on the 400 trying to make it go faster which was not a good idea. Now I have to much compression. It runs fine except when you punch it ....then it pings like crazy .....unless you add some octane boost or 110 octane fuel. Then it will set you back in the seat nicely. It runs fine though and maybe some day I will switch back to the 6X heads but I am in no rush to do that. I drove it 5000 klms 2 years ago on the Hot Rod Power Tour without a problem, so I am going to leave well enough alone for now.
