Hello friends,so that all of you here dont think my ex was a gold digger ,here is the truth .I was the idiot that beame a drunken fool and dumped her and broke her heart .I am a very lucky man that she even speakes to me still.I also regret what i did every minute of every day as she was the perfect woman ,she loves cool classics cars ,loves to go to car shows ,auto swap meets and the race track. She does all this with beauty ,style and grace.I dont think theres a single man on this board that wouldnt want to hang out with her,she is also a very smart woman who knows more about muscle cars than most guys.I was the fool .
good story Shes perfect.. You are renewed.. She speaks to you... why are you not rebuilding her heart, instead of a car?
Well folks its been a long time ,i put the project on hold while i did some world traveling ,i thought i would post a few more pics of were shes at now .cheers Jimmy

Hello folks ,well i just got the 67 Canso back from my good friend Dean who did all the rear quarter work to both sides of thr car ie the outer wheel tubes.inner truck lower quarter extensions and reskined both quarter panels .WOW dean you the man ,you did a great job ,thanks buddy. The car is back at my shop and went right into the Barnyard autobody shop of my friend and bodyman Dales bay.Dale will now put a little skim of filler where needed and spray the car with a high bild primmer and a guide coat so the car can be long boarded with 180 grit.We through the fenders on for a test fit and also the taillights for a test fit on the rear quarters everything looks great.Im pretty sure this car when finished will look better than it came out of the factory new.
test fitting hood and truck befor bodywork and primer starts ,its all going to be great .cheers Jimmy P.S do's anybody even like this resto work or post ,nobody ever seems to comment ,hmmmm

Keep posting!! Awesome job. She's gonna be a beauty when you're done.
I'll weigh in on the brakes & suspension too. If the car was a 1500 mile, survivor, it would detract from the value to make any changes. But so would driving it to a show n shine. For a restored car, people might comment on the addition of disk brakes or better steering box, or other suspension improvements, but I think it would be a negotiating tactic only. IMHO, No one in their right mind would rather drive it with the original drum brakes etc.
So if you plan on actually driving the car, make the mods you feel are worthwhile. Keep the original parts in case any future potential buyer gripes about the mods. You can counter their complaints by saying you have the original bits and it would not cost much to change it back.

Did you weld the quarter panels on with oxy/acetylene, kind of looked like it in the picture. Car's coming along nicely, you'll be driving it yet this year.....maybe.
crazyJ ,no we did not weld with oxy/acetylene ,we used a mig welder that you can see in the one pic sitting right next to the quarter .We did many small half inch to 1 inch welds all over the quarter from one end to the other to prevent the quarter from warping from to much heat. The car is comming together and should be done in 6 weeks ready for paint ,yahoooo.P.S the emblems were givin to me by a good friend and im going to have them reconditioned to be like new again and there going on the lower front fenders.

crazyj ,the factory colour ? Yes and No ,Im sticking with a maroon which was the Factory colour, but im going with the tri coulor Jewel Red ,from the 2010 Camaro or 2010 Corvette ,is a brighter deeper Marroon.
Inside the V im going to paint them RED White and Red to give it the Canadian flag look .I think that the Canadian made cars never had any really cool racey looking emblems .With the checkered flag and the 327 it looks cool.I quess i could have my buddy Clayton make me my own cool emblems on his CNC machine. No i know there AMERICAN ,69 Chevelle i believe.
