RE: pics of my barn find ,67 Acadian Canso SD v8 car

I figure if the Canadians  put 67 nova SS interior in the 67 Acadian Canso SD then the emblems wernt so bad .

well folks just wanted to let you all know ,NO pics to post this week as i had a falling out with my bodyman Dale .I believe he was padding the hours to make more money (and im sure of it  ) and i called him on it.He then got very angry and threatened to take a hammer to my car.Thats when i lost it and told him id be going to jail the following day for the assalt on him ,but i would certantly make it worth the hassel for my time in the klink ,lol .The car is now back in my shop the same way the last pics looked like .This weekend i will try to finish the 327 rebuild for the car and find another bodyman as the threat he mad went to far and the friendship is done .Oh well, **** happens   .

That's too bad because I had a good deal with my body guy and I'm still helping him out. It was a good mutual agreement. Maybe you buddy will come around. Let it sit for a bit. It might clear up on it's own.

Good to hear your still making progress on the car. With this new front suspension do you change over to rack & pinion steering as well ?

No ,im going to use the factory power assist steering with this setup and a factory v8 front swaybar,i think the car will handle quit nicely with the factory stock front end. This system bolts right up to the factory front end ,even uses the factory 5 bolt front spindles .

Hi Jimmy. I installed this exact front end kit last winter. I felt I needed to comment here and let you know that the supplied upper and lower ball joints are extremely cheap. When I went to get this kit aligned in the spring the alignment shop showed me all the play in the joints and I couldn't believe my eyes. I immediately ordered quality Moog joints from Rock Auto. I say do they job right and do it once. Otherwise the install was quite enjoyable. My car tracks and brakes straight now and it handles very well.

Hello friends ,so i thought i should post a few more pics to keep this thread up to date .Just this morning we painted the fire wall so i can bolt up the inner fenders and rad support and make it a rolling chassis,it will make life a lot easier once theres wheels back on it .The original color of my car was Madeira Maroon Met,so to give it a new mordern look but still keep it Maroon ,i went with a 2010 GM color called Jewel Red (Tri color )wich is also a Maroon ,found on 2010 Camaro and 2010 Corvette. This Tri Color is a Maroon Base coat ,then a clear Met pearl and last a finishing clear coat. The first two pics are the first Base coat ,the next two pics are with the Met pearl and the last two pics are with the final clear coat . This car is going to look smokin hot when its finished ,I PROMISE. Jimmy

Well folks i got busy this weekend (Sat ) with the help of my Dear old dad (a retired bodyman ,who by the way is an  amazing man ) preped and painted my inner fenders ,rad support and inside the hood all Satin Black.Today i also preped and painted all the front spring parts ,I also put the front end on by myself today (Sun) after church  as all my help that was suppose to show up never did.I sure wished i had my wing girl to help me today ,she was an amazing helper also. Well i have a few pics of this weekends work ,before next weekend i will have the CPP  front suspension and disk brakes on and the car will be a rolling chassis again ,yahoooo. Cheers Jimmy B. I forgot to mention this, but wow this paint is incredible when the sun shines on it .The met pearl just pops ,you can see a red shine on the Satan black inner fender in the first pic on the left side ,its amazing .I cant wait to get this car painted.
