Hullo again!!! My Malibu is my pride and joy and still runs everyday to work and back and has made a second trip to Mpumalanga with no hassle!!!! For those that remember, this is a Canadian Malibu!!!
Unfortunately my signal unit in the column has given the ghost after 45 yrs of service. This is where I need your assistance please. I need to purchase a new or good used unit and would appreciate if somebody could purchase and airpost it to me in South Africa. I will pay in advance to cover the cost of the unit and postage and a beer or two!(Paypall) Here is what the switch looks like! Same as the Beaumont!
Just be careful you get the right one. The LHD cars had two number choices but it appears all the RHD cars use 911051 switch according to the parts book.

I thought there was a 8 pin and 7 pin version. The extra pin for the column shift indicator light. I guess at least in 67. My sons camaro column shift is 8 pin but the one I took of a 67 B body floor shift car had 7 pins.

The Malibu has a 7 Pin switch. The 8 pin is the BPN version and then there is a tilt version. The illustration is the same as the one on the Malibu. The Malibu has a floor shift that I fitted.

I just happened to see this one on ebay tonight. Had you seen it?
Thanks Carl, That is the one. Only problem is that I don't want to enter in a bidding war. I would rather pay a friend up front and know where I stand and know there is no uncertainty. South Africa is a long way away and time is a factor!
Whats your time frame? anything I win, takes 10-12 days to ship here.. and then to you ... I check on a AC Delco cross, or get Carl1 to ship to me, and then on to you... Christmas ok ? lol

I have a switch in my Garage that is readily available from GM I'll check it later, it should be 1894852 and it has a change over hraness with it, i'll check it later and get back to you. I had bought it for my 67 Beaumont but that wasn't the problem, once plugged in non returnable, right Carl.
Sorry 1965 was different, what was I thinking. Gerry
Just got here and read both your posts. Yes, that 1894852 fits 69 and up I believe. I've sold many of them over the years.
A few years back there was still a signal switch available for that era (64-65). I think the number was 910821 but for some reason it did not show up as being correct for 65 Chevelle in my newer issue parts book at work. Maybe I should check my older parts books.

Revision May 81 64-65 Chevelle P/N 911051 and 65-66 RHD, just happen to be looking in my parts book, but discontinued. See one listed on partsnthings.com, If memory serves me right 910821 was for the trucks but I would have to confirm that in my partsbook.
Just came back from a week-end Chistian gathering, Great Stuff!!!
I understand all the issues in getting the correct part to me. Noted the e-Bay item has been sold. I am quite happy to accept a good used part and pay a good price. I suspect the airpost will be about $30 plus your selling price. I will pay up front via Paypal.

Hullo 427Carl,
Yes, it was the correct part no There is a PM I received and I am waiting on a return response. If I hear nothing by tomorrow then I will come back to you.
johann; GM used 2 different canciling cams in 1965. One is stamped GUIDE; the other is stamped BPC. My supplier says the GUIDE application is more popular. Cost $65.70 Canadian. I believe the name is stamped on the top of the canciling arm. Have a look at yours. Dale
