Canada is great...

As I read of the murderer, getting a chance of parole, at 25 years, and hes entitled to HIS pension, that he paid 30-40 percent of, and Canadian government matched it...  I thought of a recent e-mail   have a look see,

WORKING JOE  vs. WELFARE JOE

You have two families: "WORKING JOE " vs "WELFARE JOE ".  Both families have two parents, two children, and lives in Canada
.

WORKING Joe works in construction, has a Social Insurance Number and makes $25.00 per hour with taxes deducted.

Welfare Joe does not work, has a Social Insurance Number, and gets paid $15.00 per hour "without leaving the house".

Ready?  Now pay attention...

Working Joe : $25.00 per hour x 40 hours = $1000.00 per week, or $52,000.00 per year.
Now take 30% away for taxes.
Working Joe now has $31,231.00 net.

Welfare Joe : $15.00 per hour x 40 hours = $600.00 per week, or $31,200.00 per year.  Welfare Jose  pays no taxes.  Welfare Joe  now has $31,200.00 net.

Working Joe  pays medical and dental insurance with limited coverage for his family at $600.00 per month, or $7,200.00 per year. Working Joe  now has $24,031.00 net.

Welfare Joe has full medical and dental coverage through the Provincial and local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year.  Welfare Joe still has $31,200.00 net.

Working Joe makes too much money and is not eligible for welfare.  Working Joe pays $500.00 per month for food, or $6,000.00 per year.  Working Joe now has $18,031 net.

Welfare Joe has no documented income and is eligible for welfare.  Welfare Joe still has $31,200.00 net.

Working Joe pays rent of $1,200.00 per month, or $14,400.00 per year.  Working Joe now has $9,631.00 net.

Welfare Joe receives a $500.00 per month federal rent subsidy.  Welfare Joe pays out that $500.00 per month, or $6,000.00 per year.  Welfare Joe still has $31,200.00 net.

Working Joe pays $200.00 per month, or $2,400.00 for auto insurance. Working Joe now has $7,231.00 net.

Welfare Joe says,
"We don't need no stinkin' insurance!" and still has $31,200.00 net.

Working Joe has to make his $7,231.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, etc.

Welfare Joe has to make his $31,200.00 stretch to pay utilities, buy gas, prepaid cell phone card, (alcohol/cigarettes) and play at the Casino.

Working Joe now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after work.

Welfare Joe has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family & friends.

Working Joe and Welfare Joe's children attend the same school.
Working Joe pays for his children's lunches while Welfare Joe's children get a government sponsored lunch.
Working Joe's children go home after school, while Welfare Joe's children have an after school ESL program provided free.

Working Joe and Welfare Joe both enjoy the same police and fire services, but working Joe paid for them with his taxes and Welfare Joe did not.

Do you get it, now?

And just to add some salt to the wound........ Welfare Joe will get 100% CPP at age 65 and working Joe will be lucky to get CPP because he was smart and had a retirement savings plan thus all the CPP he paid into the system gets eaten up by Welfare Joe!

Let's just say that the harder you work and the better you plan in this country, the more you will be penalized.

AKA ... no good deed goes unpunished. This is what happens when your society sets out to save the lemmings.

I guess there will always be Joe Welfare

Most of them work the system, and don't have enough brains to save and get ahead..

They blow a lot on booze, smokes, lottery tickets, drugs    and they have roghts, so you can't correct them....

If more of "these" people used all the energy and thought that they put into milking the system, they would really make something of themselves.

No joking my wife's been mad about this very stuff all week and will flip when I print this page and lay it on her tonight!.
She's been upset because the dental office where she works is getting too high a percentage of Welfare Joe families and friends also being there over 20 years is recognizing 3'rd generation of each different Welfare Joe's family offspring..

I asked her why her office is more popular than others and her reply was being across the street from the drug store also around the corner from the liquor store and meth clinic it's pretty much 'one stop shopping' for all the Joe familes in town!.
As an added bonus No Frills grocery store is right there too so all the booty and kids get loaded into a 25 cent shopping cart for the run home where Joe is waiting to make another go-cart out of the shopping cart or sell the wheels on Kijiji and cash the steel in at the metal yard on the way to Bingo!.

I'm not trying to be cruel as there's certainly legit cases of people who can't work but personally I think every town needs a plastic widgett factory where everyone who doesn't have a job works each and every day or they don't get paid when the cheques are handed out every Friday at 5 Pm..
If your back's too sore to stand, no problem...here's a chair for you to sit and count red widgetts!.   Just don't mix 'em up w/ the guy beside you as he's counting the blue ones and the woman next to him the yellow ones etc, etc!.

So with everyone 'working' at the plant each day (remember no cheque on Friday if you don't), everyone's tired at the end of the day and sleeps nights instead of the alternative of sleeping days and staying up nights partying and getting into other foolishness!.
And nobody knows it but at the end of the week the thousand of new widgetts are all melted down by color and Monday morning the fun starts all over again!.
So whenever widgett shopping always insist on Canadian made!.

smile

MY MOTHER WAS A USER OF THE WELFARE SYSTEM AFTER HER AND DAD DIVORCED. SHE USED IT TO FEED, CLOTHE AND SHELTER HER 2 KIDS WHILE SHE WHEN TO COLLEGE FOR AN EDUCATION. SHE WAS EMPLOYED 6 WEEKS AFTER SHE FINISHED SCHOOL. SHE WAS CERTAINLY NEVER PROUD OF IT, BUT IT WAS THERE FOR HER WHEN SHE NEEDED IT. I WOULD AGREE THAT ALOT OF PEOPLE ABUSE IT, BUT WE WOULD HAVE BEEN LOST WITH-OUT IT.

my daughter used the system as a hand up, until she got a part time job, them a full time job...
There is a real need for it, but not to the extremes its being subjected to  hmm

I seen this email floating around a few years ago with a different context.

Like 99% of all emails like this, it's mostly a bogus urban legend. Here is a link that sheds a clear light on the subject (it's a bit long, but a good read):

http://www.canadiansocialresearch.net/working_joe_welfare_joe.htm

Sorry, but I question everything these days, and thankfully Google always gives me a valid second opinion.
