A while back I ran a "wanted" ad on here for a specific little table saw made by Jobmate that has a 6 amp motor. Discontinued in stores, wanted ad on Kijiji only yielded saws in Ontario or Saskatchewan so shipping killed that idea.
Along comes 57Poncho (Vern) to the rescue. A couple of weeks ago I get a call. "Carl, I had some time today so I went looking in pawn shops and found 2 saws like you are looking for!" Not only did he tell me about it, he proceded to buy it and hold on to it until I could pick it up and pay him.
Tonight I made a Winnipeg run and picked up my saw. Also had a "mini" CP meeting with Vern and Joel (62Beaumont) to check out Joel's 62 project!
A big public thank you to Vern for going above and beyond the call of duty!

I mentioned yesterday, to a friend, that a road trip across Canada, is more interesting to me, knowing I could stay at a CP members house in every province!
well stay at a motel close to the members house...... lol

The user Profile has a place for Province. If you click on the user name you get to the profile. As long as people have filled it out you will see what Province or State and town they are in.
Carl the 1 is in Morris Manitoba Carl the 2 is in Clinton Ontario everyone else is close
Don't forget Carl the 3 is in Calgary. I hear a commercial on the radio that says it only takes 3 days and 15 hours to drive accross Canada. So we are all close.
