Looks great! I have a bathroom that needs to be renovated very soon and my wife has hinted about the kitchen. I need to find (and sell) about 3 more 59 Dodge D500's and I'd be all set!

I bought the deepist and super wide tub I could find. Also got higher toilets...who knew that those would my best investments.

I'm doing a new floor in the kitchen next week or maybe the week after. all depends on when my retired carpenter father decides to visit. we are using 14.3 mm click laminate flooring w/ its own foam backing

Nice Kitchen ... love it.

I've been doing my own car/home improvement balancing act ... I find that my biggest problem is time!
I gave my wife her own dream ballroom-sized bathroom last year. I have a closet-sized one upstairs. cry

Look what I uncovered when I tore up the living room carpet last week.
Just don't do any LSD while staring at this funky floor! eyepopping.gif
Even the cat (SuperFuzz) freaked out!

Hey    THATS the exact floor we bought in 1984   and is still in kitchen..   The dog tore up some strips, when he was a pup..  I put clear packing tape, on those spots...

Do I miss that car? Yup, more than any other car I ever owned

Was it the right move selling the car to buy the organ? Yup, because it was a gift for my wife, the same wife who has never spoken a harsh word to me in over 20 years of marriage.

And please, no organ jokes........................biggrin

Music is a gift , to be able to share that with the family ,,, there is no price on that !!

cars make a different kind of music.....to some ,,,not all !!

ive been renovating my house for 7 yrs now !! i dont even have a car fund, i have to beg or buy under the radar!! LOL Ive redone every room, tore a kitchen down to the studs and even built the cabinet doors (not fun). Ive got one more bathroom to gut and then were selling the place!! oh well, on to better things.

Thats a nice kitchen, mine if you can even imagine is slate floors, dark blue cabinets, orange walls, a yellow wall that juts out with the stovetop under it, mahogany countertops, and an off white tounge and groove ceiling with beams all through it!! Sounds horrible, and thats what i thought when the wife said thats what were doing, but it all worked out!!

I know the feeling Kim, we did our kitchen last fall. I was surprised to get to finish the Lemans.

Good for you Kim, it looks great. I think most of us know about the balance between our hobby and a content home life. It can be done and you have lots of car time ahead of you.

Geez didn.t know so many guys would reply to this. Here I'm thinking I'm the only one going thru this.
It was well worth it to see the smile on her face at the end.

That looks pretty close to what mine used to look like, I took all the doors off and sanded and painted the boxes in a black stone paint, then I did all the doors in a deep gloss black like a grand piano... everyone said it would be too dark, but in the end it looks good and is still a pretty bright kitchen!

He's a big cat (thinks he's a dog) ... 20.8 lbs. and about 3 feet long!

What did you use as counter tops?

Proof that not all things from the 60's should be restored...

Those tiles may have asbestos glue holding them down, so be careful.

guess we're all doing the same thing. I just put in that laminate flooring with the foam attached - in kithcen & dining room, and now am waiting for new countertops to arrive!! ensuite bathroom done last year while adding a walkin closet in the master bedroom.
Only so much cash around, and too many projects including the car. but sooner or later.... it too will get done. we live in hope.

He is as big as my dog
Countertops are a laminate at Home Depot. Looks like round fish scales in the light if you know what I mean.
Black sink is from there too.
