I agree with seventy2plus2, take a chance but keep your guard up. I have an old friend from back home. He met a girl from Russia online, He took a chance went there a couple of times to meet and greet family etc. They have been happily married for over 14 years, living in Nova Scotia.

What the heck, what have you got to lose? It's fun to play around a bit, you'll have to invest a bit more into this one to see where it goes though...go on a holiday, and see where it goes! out of interest what is the allure to someone from half way across world, language barrier, etc. vs. finding someone closer? Are you close to her age? Does she look like someone you would pick up and go out with in your home town?

Fellow brother, you have got to be !@#$%&* kidding me. It can not be that hard to meet a lady here in good old CANADA. Forget this %$#@_+%# action and get real with yourself. There are plenty of Canadian based dating sites to meet all kinds of women. Forget anything out side of good old CANADA. Canadian women are the best and forget all the rest. I too have read all the countless horror stories of how these women from like minded countries destroy guys like your self. Get real brother and get shopping in CANADA. Oh yeah. And my old man knew me for nine years before we took a chance. By then I had acquired all the stuff I needed...the real fur coat, an impressive shoe collection and some really fine gold. I paid for that myself. Didn't need some poor bastard's pocket book to do it. Does the little thing from Russia have earning potential, I wonder???? confuse

In the end, it's all a crap shoot. If it works, dude, great. If it doesn't you walk away with a fabulous war story and no nagging questions about "What if?"

A buddy has been happily married for 10 years to his Russian beauty. They have two kids and both earning a living.
When he went there he couldn't believe that what we take for granted.... blue jeans.....the simple things are like 6 months pay.
Some are looking for love and a new life in Canada as well as those just looking to get out of the country.
Go over and meet her....it's just the cost of a plane ticket and a couple of hundred will last you a month in some parts
