RE: WANTED: snow tires and rims for 06 CTS 225/55/16

When I purchased my rims and tires from Tirerack they provided me with a quote that included the tires, the wheels, the mounting of the tires on the wheels, the GST, the enviro fee, and shipping. There were no surprises. All I did was put them on the car.
Re the used tires and wheels, it looks like a fair price. (Are they off a first generation CTS? Are first and second generation interchangable?)

Good luck...

He said they came off a 04 CTS. I don't know if they are interchangeable. He said they probably are. But I need a certain answer.

How much seasons would new tires (blizzaks) last, if I only drove like 1000-1500 km each winter on them?

Here's a thought.....If you aren't sure if those rims will fit, ask if you can try a couple on the car....one front for clearance issues and one rear. Lets face it 20 minutes of your time to save $600 to $700 dollars, how can you go wrong. Just make sure you have the cash on hand if they do fit. If not, thank him for his time and you carry on your search.

They are cheap and mounted ,so go check them out. I'm sure the rims are the same.

They are very good. We sell a ton of them at work- those and the X-ice. If you can find your size made by Gislaved buy them. They are much cheaper than Blizzak and Michelin and are excellent tires. They are made in Sweden. We are sold out of them at work. I bought a set for my car.
