That stuff is fun to watch. Anybody know what this TV show is about? I heard the song on Battle of the Blades, looks provocative and scary.

From HBO:
The Maenadian reign of terror may be over, but Sookie Stackhouse and the townspeople of Bon Temps face a new calamity ushered in by a pack of vicious, blood-sucking werewolves that makes the bacchanalian evils of Maryanne Forrester seem tame by comparison. Welcome to the third season of the smash-hit HBO series True Blood!

True Blood is the sexy, scary, wildly entertaining drama series from Oscar® and Emmy®-winning Alan Ball (HBOs Six Feet Under), and based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris. Mixing romance, suspense, mystery and humor, True Blood tells the ongoing tale of Sookie (Anna Paquin, Golden Globe-winner for this role), a waitress with telepathic gifts - and an irresistible attraction to now-174-year-old vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), who went missing in the Season 2 finale.

With the assistance (and often hindrance) of locals - including her newly inspired brother Jason (Ryan Kwanten), shape-shifting boss Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell), in-mourning pal Tara Thornton (Rutina Wesley), Taras vamp-linked cousin Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis), on-the-wagon detective Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer), vampire sheriff Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård) and teen vamp Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) - Sookie desperately tries to locate her fiancé as Season 3 opens, ending up in a netherworld of human and undead interlopers, among them the Vampire King of Mississippi, Russell Edgington (Denis OHare) and his followers: a pack of vicious werewolves who feed on vampire blood.

I guess we aren't the only ones who liked it:

"Director Frank Darabont's zombieriffic series opened on Halloween night at 10 p.m. with over 5.3 million viewers, which marked the AMC's biggest opener for an original series ever!

For adults 18-49, the show got 3.6 million viewers, which made it the highest-rated cable series premiere in 2010.

The premiere ran two more times, at 11:30 p.m. and 1 a.m., landing the premiere with a total of 8.1 million viewers for the entire night!

Here's what AMC president Charlie Collier had to say about the show's premiere:

Its a good day to be dead. We are so proud of this series, its depth of storytelling and the remarkable talent attached.
