That's my kind of car, love the powerful Northstar and it looks to be in very very nice shape.

My wife has a 2002 SLS and says it is the best car she has ever driven. We bought with 15000 miles. Now its at 60000. I can't get her to share it with me. If you want a happy wife buy this car.

I pulled the road test data from a Car & Driver, here is what these cars are capable of:

C/D-TEST RESULTS:
Zero to 60 mph: 6.0 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 15.7 sec
Street start, 560 mph: 6.3 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 14.6 sec @ 97 mph
Top speed (drag limited): 154 mph
Braking, 700 mph @ impending lockup: 177 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.86 g

So in  nutshell it will blow away 99% of the cars owned on this Board.

They rate them at 300 HP or 275 HP depending on which one is ordered. The funny thing is the 275 HP has more torque so the Devilles usually get that. I have had salesmen tell me that the Deville or DHS is actually faster off the line than the STS/SLS.

I put a K&N kit on my Deville a couple of weeks ago, very un-Cadillac like but man did that ever work out. I was going onto the Gardner Expressway last week, it is about a 100 foot elevated road above the Lakeshore in Toronto. I was at a stop light just before the ramp. I have no idea what the incline is but it is steep probably 35 to 40 degrees to get up on that expressway. I punched it at green and of course a patch of burning rubber until traction control comes in then all hell broke loose I hit the speed limiter before I got on the expressway while I was still on th on ramp going up hill! Speed limiter in a Deville is 180 kph.

I believe that's what the guy who sold me my '85 is driving now.
