'65 Impala SS396/4speed

This must be an American import, being the 396/4 speed that it is.

Interesting due to the current discussion about '65 409/4speed cars in Canada.

I called the gentleman selling and he said $28,000. Has an appraisal for $35,000. He is a dealer, took the car as a trade.

Looks nice but unless a factory '65 L78 car w/ solid pedigree, that's waaaay too much $ especially in today's market!.
Aside from an unknown Mk1V under the hood, is there anything to suggest this car even being an original L35 car?.
If not chances are likely it's a factory SB car converted to Mk1V power later in life?.

Have there been discussions here suggesting something other than '65 Canadian built Chevy B-Body cars being W-motor equipped until the Feb. '65 changeover to Mk1V engines like the US plants?.
It's the Chevy powered '65 Canadian Pontiac B-Body engine options that've been in question here, isn't it?.

I was thinking the same 409 question applied to the Canadian built full size '65 Chevrolets as well as the full size Canadian Ponchos.

Sorry to reinvent the wheel here but does this split year thing apply to both '65 Canadian Chevrolets and Pontiacs?

So this could be a Canadian built car? Eh?   smile

Yes, it seems there is no 65 Canadian Pontiac B body 396 option.
