Beautiful cars. There is one that has made the rounds in Winnipeg for years. I always enjoy seeing it.

Somewhere at home I have a picture from about 1980 of one of those in a wrecking yard. I still remember the car even had the power windows in it still.

Beautiful, rare Ford of Canada-built Skyliner. Built in February of 1954 in Windsor, it would have been one of the last cars to be assembled at the Windsor plant at the time when vehicle production was transitioning from Windsor to  the new plant in Oakville which had opened some months earlier in 1953.  Body-on-frame restoration completed earlier this year. Victory Red paint in base/clear. New glass roof insert. New carb., battery, fuel pump, exhaust & brakes. Rebuilt 255 CID Flathead V8. Dolphin guages. Converted to 12 volt and completely rewired using a Ron Francis Wiring Kit. Recored radiator. Smithy's glass-pack mufflers. Glass, chrome and stainless all excellent.  Fender skirts included but not shown in photo's. Odometer shows 67,000 miles which are believed to be original. Shop Manual, Owners Manual, car cover and recent (July/10) appraisal included. Looking to sell outright but will consider a trade plus cash for a 1963 Ford Fairlane 2 door hardtop or a 1963 1/2  Ford Galaxie or a 1964-65 Comet Caliente 2 door hardtop. No projects please. Appraised insurance replacement value = $32,000. Burlington, Ontario  905-336-6125

There is a guy with two of these in mint shape just sitting in his driveway near me. Never seen them move. Parked in front of a Chrysler and I think a '58 Pathfinder!

My next door neighbour who found my beaumont for me has one of these in black and no continental kit. It has been customized abit but he has won tons of trophies with it here and in the States. I like the lines of them. He has a 54 Chev grill in it, a 351, vintage air, and it's been lowered big time. Cool cars.

Have ya ever just sat there drooling all over yourself without realizing yer doing it? This car can cause JUST THAT! WOW! Darryl, you should see if you can get a couple of shots of the ones close by you. Be interesting to see them too. There's a guy in town that has at least one of these cars but more than likely a small fleet of them. He's always had a dealership and has a building full of old Fords. They sure are a beautiful unit. Probably worth every penny it's appraised at too.

I understand this is a Canadian Pontiac site, but I am also interested in Early Ford  V8 vehicles (1932-1953) as I own a 1937 Sedan. In 1954 U.S. Fords had OHV 239 cu.in. engines. Did Canadian Fords continue to use the flathead engine after 1953? If so,what year did Ford in Canada discontinue the flathead engine?
