So I'm trying to get the Ignition out of my 4 dr grande. And I need to know what position to put the key in, when I push the button to remove the ignition switch?Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
I have instructions for 68 only but may be the same. Says to turn key to ACC then put wire in hole and press plunger and then turn key in a counter-clockwise position until ignition tumbler comes out.
Yes, ACC, (not American Country Countdown) and when you push in with the paper clip or whatever you use, you will be able to feel you are pushing against a spring loaded pin.

Thanks guys...thats exactly what i've been trying...I think the little spring loaded plundger is broken cuz it ain't workin...think i'll try some lock lube...
hhmm yep , just finished exactly what yer tryin and didnt work my pin mustve beenbroke cuz i had to use the bubba method and dril it out . i suggest being patient and really huntfor the sweet spot cuz my drill opened me a whole can of worms!!!
