New glass is available for over $500.00. Convert. is lower than hardtop so specify or you'll get the wrong glass.

I know of a convert. in a yard near me with good glass but how to ship it??

Bill.

If "I" bought a used one for 100.00  instead of 500.00

I would get a fellow from Standard Auto Glass to install it..    He would be carefull and it "would" crack or split  I would pay him his 100.00 plus tax and then haul old glass to dump, and pay another 10.00 .....  I would never buy a used glass

First of all,  1961 and 62 convertible IS the same as 1962 Hard top!
I have my listing correct, and i have done my homework on this!

in Winnipeg this glass is available new for 1200 dollars!!!!
NOT an option as far as i am concerned, because i am not a millionare.

I did look into getting from autocity in Minnesota, they are only 350 US,  but shipping will get very expensive.

I just wanted a 1/2 decent used one.
Caddilac, pontiacs, buick, and olds are also the same, but it must be for a 1962 2dr hard top or 61/62 convertible.

And just for your information, a bubbletop is the same glass as a 4dr sedan.(yes i am correct on this one)

My ad was a bit blunt, beacause i was sick of emails from people telling me that a 4ddr sedan one would work, or i could order a new one, blah, blah, blah.

Think you had better re-check your windshield stats. Convertible is shorter than the rest. 61-62 hardtop glass interchanges and I know a 62 2 door sedan will fit because thats whats in my 61 bubbletop.

Bill.

You are correct about the bubbletop and 4dr sedan being the same

But i have a 62 impala HT(NOT a bubbletop)

I just put in a cracked used 1961 convertible glass into the car, that is how i know it fits, plus the NAGS interchange manual told me i was correct.

Trust me, i know what im doing.

Bubble top, wagon, sedans are about 29" tall

convertibles, and 62 2dr HT impala are about 26" tall

Yes, the GM parts book also confirms that bubbletop and hardtop (Belair vs. Impala) is different.
