Well since BMW copied the Pontiac split grille I often thought that with an arrow head no one would be able to tell.

Enjoy it while the weather is nice.

Strange people?  Well, you know the old saying:  You can't pick your family...thank god for rich relatives.  And I'm on the insurance too.  Now if I could just get my dear brother-in-law liquored up enough to buy the Mopar (and mod it too -- the hard top will have to go) then I'll have it made!!!!!

That sure is an odd choice for a company car..........what business is your family in?  confuse

Nice review on the 2011 Dodge Charger in yesterday's Wheels Section of the Star, a four door sedan with 290 or 372 HP depending on how many tickets you want to get. That car would satisfy your Mopar fetish and be a much more practical company car. I believe black is available too and probably at half the lease payment.

Investment banking...whatever that is.

And while I agree that the Charger is more value for money I still have to side with good looks and get up and go.  The Challenger is sleek and it doesn't look like anything made in the last 40 years.

The Beemer is beautiful -- it's a 7 speed dual transmission -- that goes like nothing I've ever tried before.  I made it up to 180 (wouldn't dare go higher) and it felt like nothing.  We had the top down, the heated seats switched on, the heater blasting and the Sirus satellite radio on full and we weren't cold.

But it's small.  I felt cramped in the front seat (I'm 5'8") and I didn't like the cup holders (poor princess).

I'm tall.  Guess I need a big car.

Ya makes sense now, I have a friend who does that, drives a Porsche confuse.

If you park anything with four seats under $100,000 in the towers downtown your membership to the National club is revoked. That is one testosterone filled biz.

I know I couldn't do it.  At least in my business the people don't talk back.

Very cool car! Bet it's a blast to drive. It is a twin turbo with 320hp and they have potential for more hp with a different tune. The transmission sounds pretty neat too.

Here is a good write up on the 335is. http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2010/08/review-2011-bmw-335is/

Well maybe we'll have to put your claims to the test in the spring, my dear.  Meantime, I need time to figure out how to work those paddles......nerd.gif

"only the shallow ones"

.....you say that like it would be a detraction. Seriously, it is a sweet ride right there. I wouldnt buy one, but I'd sure like to take 'er for a rip on a track. Does it make you feel more professional or sophisticated? I know when I drive the Beaumont, as opposed to my Neon, I feel younger, taller, cooler, better looking, etc....and the badass in me comes to the surface. Pretty much the same effect as Crown Royal, without the slurred speach and hangover..

excellent comments  wink

My old sedan, gets the looks of folks, wondering why, some old guy, is still driving a old clunker?

My bright orange Camaro, turns heads of all ages, and makes me feel, 40 years younger  and taller and stronger and on and on    ..........

The "shallow" comment was meant as an LOL.

Here's an image story for you:

Years ago when I was an at-home mommy I, along with and all the other neighbourhood mommies, would make the early morning daily trek to the kindergarten gates  to drop off our youngin's.  At various times we'd be dressed in rubber boots, jammy bottoms, our husbands' parkas -- you get the idea -- we all looked like we'd just crawled out of dumpsters because we'd been up all night with infants.  Anyhow, the highpoint of our morning would be the arrival of "Alpha Daddy".  This dude would pull up in an Audi Roadster to drop off his adorable little daughter.  Needless to say, the daughter wasn't the only adorable thing about this picture.  We'd wait for Alpha Daddy every morning; it was a high point in our day.  Then, the fateful day arrived when we no longer saw Alpha Daddy.  "Where did he go?" We searched each day but he was nowhere to be found. Then one morning, a sharper pair of eyes locked in on a scruffy old Dodge Caravan piloted by -- you guessed it -- Alpha Daddy.

"He doesn't look that good," one of the mommys said.

And then it hit me...."it's the car".

So yes, Stone, a black convertible definitely does the trick.
