That must be for the Fleetwood, same as mine....my Deville RKE stopped working in the summer, what a PITA, we've tried everything except the relay which requires rear seat removal

Yes, I never got any transmitters with the car. It occurred to me the other day that if we get freezing rain I could get locked out of my car, so I want to get the keyless working.
Is the rear seat not a simple removal on that car? I thought they where.
If it's any help, I can check the GM tech info on how to do it.

If you know anyone in a GM service dept, they can make sure they transmit. It takes about 2 seconds. They click "on" on the little black box they have, and press each transmitter button. The box should beep with each press on the transmitter.

I try to avoid the dealer especially with an older Cadillac. Your post got me thinking about solving this though. The fobs can often go bad , these are the three prong style that is notorious for having the solder connections break or at least act up.
Even if you get out of the city and find someone in a smaller town who can test them. We do it no charge for people if they are having trouble. Hopefully you can find someone who thinks the same as we do!

Sorry Carl, don't have any Quite often the solder breaks away where the batteries hook through, we have a litle solder gun and charge them $10.00 to resolder it and sell them a new battery and I would say a 95% success rate, people are happy, they save a $100.00
A little perseverance this morning and I have one fob working. I took it apart, used contact cleaner on all the contact points, put in a fresh battery and tried to resynchronize it. It appeared to work but only the unlock feature worked, Hmmmm, more contact cleaner, re synced, Yes everything worked except fuel door so I gave up. Did some chores, drove youngest back to University got home and tried fuel door button, Woooo, all the lights are blinking and seats are moving, what the heck?????
Tried everything again and it all works, even the back up feature on the passenger mirror is working
The other Fob looks fatal, all three contacts are broken, needs re-soldered as 67custom points out. I might give it to 65camino to try, he has all the tools for delicate electronic circuits at his work
I am happy though, thanks Carl for posting this and getting me thinking about dealing with this.
Yes, thanks for the reminder. I should have updated this thread.
I got one off ebay. It was reasonable, arrived quickly. I was able to program it in about 3 minutes. All thanks to the internet. I bought it there and found the programming instructions there. Amazingly enough, it's different to program it than the Impala SS or Roadmaster.
And, bonus, I found out my Fleetwood has a functional factory alarm system and a functional aftermarket remote start system as well...
