The whole problem is that your kids are taller than almost everyone!  I'm just shy of 5'10" and your 13 year old daughter is likely taller than me by now!  The boy passed me a few years ago....

1966 Pontiac Grande Parisienne 2dr HT

-#'s Matching Big Block 396ci, rebuilt and reconditioned.
(Added ceramic coated manifolds for better look, have stock ones if wanted)
-#'s matching Muncie M20 4 speed trans, rebuilt with new seals and bearings
-Newer white paint w/ black vinyl roof (Sport Roof Rear Window)
-Excellent White interior w/ buckets and console, and new carpet
-Hidden CD player in glove box, easy to go back to original
-GM Documents go with the car
-New tires, BFgoodrich 245/60R14 on Pontiac Rallye II rims

Interesting.  It was on ebay just lately but didn't make the reserve of 16,000 (I think)so the actual bottom line price would be somewhere just above that I think. Think what other kind of new poopbox you could get for that kind of money...

I think you should forget about this car Carl, you already had one you loved and it wouldn't be the same with this one anyway. It's hard to go back in time and recreate what was and more often than not it is disappointing and doesn't work out anyway. You have a real nice Canso, maybe a nicer and rarer car than this one. I don't know how many 4 speed 65 Canso SD's were made but I have never seen one other than your photos. Why not concentrate on getting the Acadian roadworthy, I look forward to seeing photos of the Canso completed, it's a real sharp looking car that you can be proud of.
