they yo-yo'ed the price of regular unleaded from $1.079 to $1.219 this morning. With a 20g tank .... that's gonna hurt on my next fill up.

Always amazes me how the gas stations that are the closest to the refinery/marketing have the highest prices.confuse

I am surprised it has not gone up during the BP fiasco    

Winter is coming on , we use more fuel, raise price, and pay more taxes   

makes sense to the Government

I filled up last week in Largo Fl. and the price was $2.64 a  US gallon. The price spiked yesterday to $2.79.  Thanksgiving is this Thursday in the US so the fuel companies are just taking advantage of  the traveling public. There is a lot of talk of adding a .15c. a gallon tax on fuel in the US with that money to be applied directly to the US deficit.  From the letters to the editor I have been reading in the  ST . Petersburg Times there is a lot of opposition to this tax proposal with the main reason being a lack of trust in politicians actually applying  the tax for the deficit.

I notice regular was $1.12 in my area of Toronto, but my car doesn't use that. Premium is $1.22 today.

I like the American price much better, when you figure we are paying 4 times the price of a litre to their gal. Can you say " RIP OFF" the news said the price of a barrel of oil went down, but the refineries are doing "home heating oil" now, so the price of gasoline goes up??? only one winning here is the GOV. with the "dam" HST the higher the price the higher the HST percentage is on the product. They are "rubbing" their hands together,every time a litre goes thru the pump!! Harper's Screw TAX [ HST] sure is working flawlessly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
