A VERY unusual, somewhat rare, Canadian Pontiac project car. Quite typical rust issues for this era of Chevrolet, and very VERY dirty. Fortunately, the disgusting 261 ( aka 235 ) 6 cylinder, does not run ( though it does spin over ), so there's even more reason to get a proper Chevrolet V8 in there... a 283 or even a 348 being optional factory equipment... though any pre 1995 Chevrolet V8 engine, 350, 454, ect., is a bolt-in.
Too many cars, too many projects, and no room.

Seller is not a real Canadian poncho guy, he calls the 261 "disgusting" confuse ok he's right though it would make a nice V8 car.

Any one who says a 261 is disgusting, has never owned a 261. Put your belly button V-8 in there so you could bore everyone to tears. A 348 would be a very nice touch though, far less boring than a typical small block belly button engine. Over the many years i have owned all kinds of GM engines in all kinds of GM cars and people i know are always amazed at the get up and go that my sixes always seem to have. Many have been surprised that it was a six in the first place. To all the detracters i say. Get your heads out of your belly button engine clouds and start thinking for yourself, instead of letting the masses think for you. Please no cries about how wonderful the Chev small block is. I already know that because i have built and ran enough of them over the many years. No one will ever dispute the impact the Chev small block has had. It is just that enough is enough of the same !@#$%& boring thing over and over again. They just put me to sleep at car shows. I will look at engines that are a breath of fresh air and not the boring cloud. 261 engines are now very sought after for people that are building rods that are not cookie cutter machines. Most of these people end up using a 235 because the 261,s are now so hard to find. Cheers. George.

I really like this car just the way it is (well maybe spruced-up a bit).

Weyepopping.gifW!!!.

Very cool car that looks like a deal!.
Personally to me cars like this are the epitome of Canadian Poncho'ism and without a doubt I'd run w/ the 261, add an early 'Vette cam and piped exhaust...maybe even the multi carb setup too!.
