Anybody got any info on decoding the VIN from a 61 Parisienne?

Post it here please. Canadian Pontiac model codes were '7' instead of '1' for Chevrolet. then the series, then the two-digit body style. So a Parisienne is 77 or 78 (6- or V-8) then 19 for 4-door sedan, or 35 for 4-door Safari wagon, 37 / 39 for 2-door or 4-door Hardtop or 67 for convertible. Add '1' as a prefix for 1961 Model Year.

Looks like an 8 cylinder 1961 Pontiac Parisienne 2 dr. hardtop. Got any photos?

Certainly, It's currently in Kitchener, ON in pretty rough shape.  It has a 348 and a 4 spd in it and I just wanted to find out if that was the correct engine for the car.  I'll get some pics posted in the next litttle while.  Mean time any body with connections for fenders or patch panels, I NEEEEED you.
