A current snow map

It's not often that I live in a part of the country that has less snow than a lot of the rest of the country. I hope this map is big enough to show it but basically in Manitoba its the Red River Valley and just a little bit more that is still dry. Won't be long but this is unusual.

Weather people say more snow this year here in southern Ontario but the people that watch the animals say very mild winter. I hope the animals are the winners .

At the rate it's coming down, I think southern Ab will move from blue to pink pretty quick. It's already over 2 feet deep on the edge of the driveway from clearing it. Kind of chilly out too. Think we saw -12°C for a high today. Quite breezy as well. Drifting everywhere.... and you can take that two ways! Snow drifts and lots of drivers show their skills.

It very well may be mild here in Ontario however that means the Great Lakes won't freeze meaning tons of lake effect snow for Carl to dig out from!

I'm a stones throw from you to the north and it's snowing harder and harder here, I just got home 10 minutes ago and my tire tracks are totally gone.

Here is a still from my dash cam from a few days ago.smile

And here is just before I got home tonight. disbelief

Is it socially acceptible to hibernate?
