68 Beaumont Parts

I have a 68 Beaumont Convertible restored and need to replace the directional signal control switch. Does anyone know where I can find this part either as OE or replacement. The OE number is 5699993.  I live in Straffordville Ontario near Tillsonburg.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I was able to track down the part at Early Birds. Thankyou to everyone for the great leads and I know I will be able to take advantage of this forum in the  future.

Welcome aboard Roy!!! If you get a moment, introduce yourseld in the welcome aboard section... and if possible, post a few pics of your ride!!

Ok, just talked to my AC Delco guy, and he figures that switch #D6211 is the one you need... He is not 100% but he says it is a very common one!  Lists @ $120.......

Welcome aboard. You aren't too far from the Canadian Poncho World Headquarters!

If you get a chance post some photos of your car in the Member's Rides forum

The info I found says that part number is the switch for a 1967-68 Tempest and Firebird. See the info below. My 68 Beaumont has the switch that was used in the 67-68 Corvettes with tilt wheel. What color is the main part of the switch? Have you checked Ebay? You might also check your local Chevy or GM dealership parts department. I know a few years ago they still had the switches for a 68 Chevelle.

Hi Todd
I am impressed with the responses I am getting to my question so quickly. Sorry the car is a custom. I wish it was an SD. I will post pictures tomorrow. Looks like I have some solid leads to follow up on. I have seen a 68 Rag SD from Windsor I believe at a car show in Bothwell.  Good luck with you search. thanks

Roy

Hi James
Thanks for the response all the way from South Carolina. The switch is a faded red with a black plug. I have not checked eBay yet but have checked the Canadian version Kijiji. I have checked the dealer indirectly through our local auto parts dealer but will go direct myself. I did send an email to GM Canada for direction. I can't imagine that I will not be able to find the part. I found a Chevelle replacement version but it would not fit. Thanks James

68Sd
I feel honored to have 2 of them. That would be considered rare I would think. The market values don't seem to reflect that yet. They are now registered with Poncho.
Thanks
