RE: Old photos

So you have Dereks old Chevelle? That was a pretty nice car the last time I saw it. I got that radio from a guy in Quesnel who was using 65 Chevelles as circle track cars. I'm still in the business, but doing installations in western Canada for sign shops across North America. So I do a fair amount of travelling. In the last 2 months I've worked in Burnaby, Vernon, Fort McMurray, Edmonton, and have just bid on jobs in Athabasca, Fort McMurray, and one project that will take me across Canada if I get it.
I'm not doing much striping lately, but thinking of trying to stay more local, and doing more striping.

Here is one of Doug's old cars, I bought it from him in 1992. This high option 67 400 H.O. GTO sold new at BowMac in Vancouver for $5286.

John, if you pass through Manitoba on #1 Hwy make sure you give me a call. I'm only 1/2 hour from it.

Carl, I will for sure. If this project happens, it will be May/June, and I hope to have the wagon ready to do the drive.
Doug has always had nice cars, and that GTO is gorgeous in those colors.

Love the 8 track player!   You don't see too many that early.

The car was built with an 8 track player but was missing when I got it. I was about 1/2 a block away from buying one from a vendor at the Portland swap meet for $500 US ($700+ CDN) when I spotted that one that another vendor had for $20! Apparently their neighbor had it sitting around for years and asked them to sell it for them.

I like reverb too but that car didn't have it. I believe that switch was for the power antenna, the other switch on the left was for rear defog. I don't think reverb was available with the 8 track stereo tape player.
