Moving the Acadian out this weekend to work on some other stuff I think, since my glass guy is just too busy right now to come and put the rear glass back in.

Sorry Carl, not fair of me since I missed the car at Penhold Tuesday. My work called about an hour before you and I had to prioritize. Worst part is, I've now been at home waiting for the second call. The first call was an alert to be ready to go and I expected to be working Tues. or Weds.. Now Friday and no call. Gotta love oilfield!

No worries. I wanted that car bad but never heard back. I am guessing since the ad was pulled pretty quick that his phone line melted and I likely never had a chance.

That dark plum is a great colour, I remember it, was it just on the '66 Pontiacs.
Did Chevrolet use the same colour?
Canadian Chevies used it as well in 1966 & 1967. It was used on Chevies in the U.S. in 1967 only.
In Canada on Chevies & Pontiacs (Beaumonts & Acadians as well) we also got a unique colour in 1966, Blue Charcoal. It was actually a 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado colour in the U.S.

If I remember right, wasn't that colour called "PLUM MIST" ??? Back in the 60's a friend of mine & myself had our cars painted that colour, he had a 62 Pontiac GP & I had a 65 Valiant V200 2 dr. sedan 273 "Hi PO" 4gear We took the 8 lugs off his car, switched b/drums & put Mags on it & "threw" the 8 lugs & drums in the "dumpster" DUH!!! If we only knew???

Ok Pete, I take a lot of abuse on here for parting out a number of big block Canadian Ponchos, but that has to be right up there as far as blond moments!!!!!
Unbelievable! To me that 8 lug is one of the most beautiful wheel/hub creations ever. Right up there with the Hurst rims in terms of beauty.
I hope all the rest of you are paying attention, it's not just me!!!
