So it looks like the chassis information is correct , 12 bolt with F40 option, nice to know includes 307 and auto.At least in 69. 

In 69 anyway, you got the 12 bolt with 350 cu.standard trany , all 396 engines and if F40 is picked any V8 and trany. (wonder if six cylinder also)

Just my two cents to add confusion....This is taken right from a copy of the 1965 GM Canada Dealer Distribution Plan I have and pertains to Chevelles;
F40 Suspension, Special Front and Rear: On sedans, sport coupes and convertible (except Super Sport models); includes special front and rear springs and special front and rear shock absorbers...
On station wagons and Super Sport models; includes special front and rear springs.

On six cylinder models it states the same, with the addition of; Not available with taxi or HD chassis equipment

It takes a little interpretation to understand some of this equipment was the same componentry depending on the model and engine option, or combination of options.

As far as twelve bolt rears, on an original GM Canada 1965 Chevy II, not chevelle, Sales Brochure, it shows rear axle ratios for the various engine options and it lists only L30 250HP 327 and L74 300HP 327 would receive 3.07 ratio(12 bolt) vs 3.08, 3:36(10 bolt) with other engines.
In the Dealer Distribution Plan the optional 3:36 is not available with the 327 engine option in Chevelles......is this telling us something?

I agree with all that you wrote about the 12 bolt availability.

I would be bold and make the claim that all 65 Chevelle, Beaumont, Nova and Acadian 327 cars came with a 12 bolt. If someone can prove that wrong, I have no problem with that but I am willing to bet it is true.

I've never seen a 327 car in any of those models without a 12 bolt.
