Is there a list somewhere with the production numbers broken down by body style? Is there a breakdown for the 66 & 67 SDs as far as small block vs big block cars? What made me ask was the 66 SD listed for sale. The ad says 250 big block cars were built in 66. Is that a known number? I would like to figure out exactly how many big block Beaumonts were built.

Hi James, the GM docs will only give the amount of 738 vin sd's for '67... so the sports option sd's are only a shot in the dark, probably less than the 738 (maybe half?)... as far i know anyways?? George would have to flip pages in the factory assembly book and count the A51 cars built before dec.66

As far as i know there was 120 360 hp 396 sd hard tops there was no 325 hp 66 beaumonts and i always thought there was 25 396 rags ??? a L34 is a 360 hp so the info of 244 L34 car means theres more rags then hard tops ??? i dont think so.

There would have been some exports to GM South Africa as well. If they followed the same pattern so to speak as the Cheveles, then they were 4-door Hardtop Sedan and 300 de Luxe sedan equivalent, with the 230 cu. in. 6-cylinder. I don't have any sales figures for '66 though.

not sure the 120 came from  ,i heard that as well (could that be with a 4 speed?)and added it so i wouldnt forget , this is where the 244 came from
