Looking for 4 barrel intake for a 61 283, must have the oil filler tube on it.

Hi. Will 66 sm. blk. work. They have the oil filler tubes. I think I have a couple at farm. Keep in mind they have the exh. running through the base of carb. Had to use steel gsk. on bottom of carb. Most guys just tap and plug. Bob London Thanks

Hi. Had a brain f-a-r-t when I responded to your request for intake. Sorry. The 66`s are Q-jet. I beleive you are after the old square bore Carter AFB. Had several but can`t remember if they hit the trash bin in the 90`s when I scrapped stuff I probably regret now. Thanks-Bob Next time I am at the farm I will see if I have anything for you.

When did the 4 jet Rochester start, 62?

I guess I could make one more trip down the stairs tonight and check in the parts book if you don't know!

I am probably wrong,,, the intake is 61/ 62, and I have an unknown WCFB sitting on it .. not correct or matched.

I'm up at work , can't check the date code?

save some steps Carl !!

Wow, it looks like the 4GC carb started in 58 but there is also some overlap years with Carter 4 barrels. I didn't check exactly what years though.
