RE: 61 Pontiac Drag Racer Project

I know of where there is a '61 Pontiac post car for sale here in Calgary. On Edmonton Trail just up from Memorial Drive as you're going up the hill on the left.Looks like a real decent car with lots of potential.Nice 09'er clone.

We're finally getting around to lettering the Pontiac. My friend Paul is doing the brush work.

The name will be "Spirit of 61" and the number 61 will be the prominent feature. You can see a photoshoped picture of how it will look taped to the window in this picture.

The back quarter panel is done. Paul painted on that Sunoco decal.

I'm hoping it'll be finished tomorrow. I'll post more pictures then.

We were out last weekend but I got bumped out in the first round.no

Our next race is at Thompson Ohio. We usually make it to all of the ONDR points races. They're the ones highlighted in red on this page.

The lettering's all done. Paul did an awesome job!

The pictures aren't great but I'm happy with the way the car looks.

As usual, Paul put "Winston's Racing Team" on the trunk.

I got the new shop dog Dexter into this picture.

Glad to see Winston memorialized, and the "passing of the torch" to Dexter.
