You wouldn't believe the number of emails I get from people who use the "Contact Us" area on the Canadian Poncho main page asking for parts for their particular Canadian Poncho. So many people think I'm a parts supplier that maybe someday I should set up shop. A few acres, a bunch of parts cars and I'll be all set!
Also, a fellow from Montreal contacted me asking if I knew anyone who would be interested in a 66 Grand Parisienne 4 door hardtop that his late father in law owned. It's been sitting in a drive shed with a dirt floor since 1987. I advised him to join the forum. He said the underneath is rusty however it might be good for parts. Wouldn't ya flip if it were a big block car?
Specialize in solenoids. Ingersolenoids ( bad joke)

When I was a kid (just today to hear my missus speak) my dream was to own a scrapyard! Of course you can't make any money doing it with the cars of today; most scrapyards are now starting sideline businesses just because no one can work on their own cars anymore so parts aren't the biggest selling items at scrapyards anymore. BUT! You CAN make money STILL selling OLD car parts BIGTIME! The internet in my opinion has now made people believe that even the rustiest pieces of junk are worth big money! Most southern areas of Ontario are pretty much picked clean of cars out behind barns and in fields; at least anywhere I've driven over the past 10 years there isn't anything to be seen. To get cars cheap enough and make a profit on them by parting them out, I think would be pretty tough now. I've always swore that if I ever DID win the lottery, I'd be putting up as big a building as the township would allow me and then would fill the upper floor with parts and the bottom with a fully equipped shop and storage for finished cars and then a big fenced in compound to house parts cars until I got them stripped! Ahhh yes, summer wishes, winter dreams. It all comes down to MONEY eh guys?
