1970 Pontiac full size GM parts manual for sale

I have for sale what I find to be a very interesting book.  I say that because it's a Canadian issue (as stated on the cover) and yet it covers Catalina, Executive and Bonneville. The date in it is November 69. I got it from a small dealership not too far from here and I don't think they used it much. We didn't see many of the US B body cars around here.

Also, I'm sure some of you either have this book or have seen it but I have searched and purchased parts books for many years and have never seen another one like this.

I would like to get $50 plus mail costs for this book, partly because I think it's pretty unusual, but also because it is in very nice condition and is certainly pretty much the ultimate for someone with a full size 70 model as listed above.

I have so much stuff and I realize I just won't ever have a use for all of it.

Funny how as I get older I start to think "If I could sell _____, I could use the money for ____ and get some enjoyment out of it!

I still plan to keep a full set of GM parts books but I have some overlap that just makes no sense to keep, space wise and $$$ wise.

I think we all are at the point where we have too many things accumulated and need to thin out.

The reason the Canadian manual includes Bonneville, executive and Catalina is because 1970 models of these cars were sold by GM Canada. This is the first year that US nameplates were available in the GM Canada regular dealer network.

Interestingly enough we spoke to a fellow just today who has a 1970 Bonneville. He sent to Michigan for the PHS documents and it came back No Can Do, talk to GM Canada, which he did. Car was sold new at Grant Brown's in west end Toronto.and George was able to document the car for him.

That's prety cool.

I can't think of a single local car sold from the US style in this area for the 70 model year.

I have a copy of this manual, as well as it's sister manual covering 1970 & 1971.

Re Catalina's and Bonneville's, we knew a couple families that had 1970 4 door Catalina's.  This was in High River, AB.  The US Pontiac's had the wire defroster instead of the blower defogger of the Cdn cars.  Once we moved to Calgary in 71, I saw the odd 1970 Bonneville (few and far between though), but the Catalina's were halfway common.

Carl when inserting pics press enter after each pic and they will go below the other pic and make tread much easier to read.

Well seeing as no one is bidding we might as well keep this near the top.

Our neighbour bought a brand new 1970 Bonneville from Hogan Pontiac Buick on Danforth Avenue in Toronto. I fell in love with that car immediately. My dad had just bought our 70 Tempest from Hogan and then Mr. Guilfoil showed up with this throbbing beast, 4 dr hardtop, Gold with brown vinyl roof, wire wheel covers dual exhaust and that fender flash that said all we needed to know: Bonneville 455
