Something original from the 70z or 80z. Don't need a big block though.

Mostly old factory racers here at my place but I know lots of guys who have these..
Even though they're not race sleds, clean original and resto 775's are getting expensive the past few years!.
If you're looking for one, do you want a pull the rope and go sled or a project?.
Budget?.
Are you specific to a '70 or is a '71 or '72 Ok too?.
How far are you willing to travel?.

It's the X4R Speed run sled!.
X4R stands for Experimental 4 x Rotax engines..
First run w/ 4 x 776 1970 Blizzard Twins then later w/ 4 x 1971 Blizzard 797 triples!.
I had a chance to buy it many years ago and foolishly passed..
Heard Bombardier offered 75 thou a few years back to the guy who has it now but they haven't got it back yet..
Poor footage but click here...

Pic below is my favourite of sleds I doo have here, a 1970 1'st year Blizzard 340 factory racer!.
It looks like an Olympic but the tunnel is actually aluminum w/ a Single Free Air and a big pipe!.
Lots more yellow racers here...a few other colors too!.

Ahhh yes i like vintage sleds! Takes me back to being a kid! I'd love a Thunderjet!! I just youtubed an indy 600 triple, that engine with pipes was just so fun to hear!! Just put a smile on my face, and goosebumps!!!
i loved riding mine when i was 13-16, it queched my need for speed!! ...then i got my license and the beaumont on the road! Best of both seasons!

If you want one, a buddy here in Ontario called me last week ready to sell his T'Jet..
60 year old owner, hasn't ridden it for 10 years or so but keeps the carbs clean for periodic fire up and ear candy!.
It'd be best to go through it if plans were to vintage race it but 5 thou w/ spares would buy it, pull the rope and hang the frig on!!!

Looks like below sled but it's a '74 340..

I would have killed to have a sled like that when I was a kid.   What year did they kind of have a grey center section on the front?

Life is good, old cars, old sleds.  The MF is 68, the doo a 64 I did one winter when didn't have enough room for car.  Have a 775 engine out of a 70 if that helps.

Is it 4sale? Are the coils mounted on the front or back of the motor...

have to have a look but pretty sure they are on the carb side of engine facing operator, also have a 775 for a 72 that needs jugs and pistons if you know of any.

If it is a 70 motor it will have the coils on the exhaust side..Got a couple spare 775s for the 71-2 model. Thanks Terry
