Imagine how the price goes up when a car appears on a magazine cover!?

No where does it mention the 375/396 on that paperwork. Neither the L89 option. No wonder there are/were rare!

It was a LS3   low horse

Wow !! Thats something you do not see every day a 69 chevelle police car. Can not quite see those engine options in the yellow.  Would be kind of neet to clone one of those. Did  any police force use them ?

Chevelle . Documented 1 of 20 by GM historical services. Factory ordered drag-strip car. Rumored to have been owned by a legend of drag racing but not confirmed. Has a non-matching 69 427 in it now. Needs professional restoration but is in solid shape. This is a six figure car when done. May take a finished car on trade. Call for details. Call for pictures. Will sell motor separate. This is a factory big block, 4- speed bench seat, rubber floor covering car with everything original except the motor. This car is one of two left on the planet. Make me an offer of a trade or a cash price as I have to move the car soon.
PRICE REDUCED $ 25,900

Fraserwood, Manitoba Canada

THERE WAS A 396 4DR CHEVELLE POLICE CAR ON E-BAY ABOUT 8 YEARS AGO. IT HAD BEEN DISCUSSED, I BELIEVE, ON CHEVY TALK AT THAT TIME. FIRST AND ONLY ONE I'VE EVER HEARD OF.

I remember that one too.  I also seem to remember one from the 1990's that was for sale in the old "N.C.O.A - Chevelle Report" magazines.

I remember that 1969 Chevelle big block police car on e-Bay in January 2004. The car was a Malibu 4-door with the 325-horse 396. It was an ex North Carolina Highway Patrol car. With the 396 there were no 396 tags on the front side marker lights (a 1968 would be a different story). It had a twin bulge SS hood, plus the rear panel was painted black inside the rear moldings (normally argent on Malibus except for 4-doors post models). See the attachments.

It is funny to see that data sheet on the 1969 Police Chevelles posted. Originally the data sheet was on 2 pages. I am the guy who joined the 2 pages together and posted it at Team Chevelle years ago. I love photo editing and have done a bunch over the years.
