Original Gorries & Golden Mile docs

I have boxes of original docs from Gorries Downtown Chev-Olds and Golden Mile Chev-Olds, dating back to the late 1950s, Camaros, Black Panthers, Chevelles, Corvettes, everything Chevy and Olds sold back in the day, plus trade-ins, used, etc.

If you want me to check I will require a VIN. If I have docs for your car you will need to verify you are the current owner, and you can have them gratis. Not every damn thing should be reduced to a buck. Send me a PM and I will try to help.

Lance Hill

Welcome aboard Lance, don't be angry with what I am about to say, but site members need to know that you are a really great guy and will be a real asset to this site forum.

To everyone that doesn't know this, Lance is no newbie, far from it; Lance has more first hand knowledge of the cars and process than probably anyone on this site, certainly more info than just what is on these Gorries documents, not that they are not important. Lance was actually at Gorries and Golden Mile, back in the day, working on midyears (Corvettes) and everthing else.

Lance also knows George Zapora with Vintage Services and also knows Frank Agueci, owner of Vintage Services who he hung out with in the 1960s cruising the streets of Toronto.

Anyway Lance I hope you are well and still can travel frequently with your wife of 40+years (How many can say that they have enjoyed marriage with a loved one that long---I am working on just 32+).

Also Lance, again I offer my sincere condolence on the loss of your close friend Hans; I know it is hard for you to realize it is now almost a year since he passed away.

Regards,
Gary Wagers

Hi Lance,

Why Midyear, I liked Big Black Dogs better!

Do you still have your early L72 1966 from Brett's Chevrolet in Chilliwack?
Could you post us a pic of it?

Also, on 1970 Corvette VIN 194370S411477, is your info on this Gorries car the same as shown on http://www.1970corvetteregistry.org/JobNo.html and on http://www.c3registry.org
By same, I mean does your records show it is indeed from Gorries?

Gary

Details Paul, details... We need to hear about it and see it.

Right now the site uploader isn't working so you have to post pics with photobucket.

Sure, what ever you say!confuse

Well it's not quite that exciting and most of you may want to hang me after the details, but we bought a rough and I mean rough 69 Firebird for the outter shell to build Jr a stock car with. The car is so bad even the subframe is rotted, so it really is beyond saving. I may post some of the Bird only parts here, to help the members, I didn't know they're different from Camaro and the Nova when it comes to steering linkage.

Hi

I have been looking for more details on a 1962 big brake fuelie corvette which I own Serial No. 20867S104487.

I did a search and found that the dealer that purchased this from the states  and resold it in Canada was Gorries Chev. Olds Ltd., Toronto, ON.

Do you by any chance have any documentation on it?  I need documentation that states that the car is a big brake fuelie model.

I would sure appreciate any help you might be able to give.

Thanks so much Jerry Fehr 780-903-1058
