65 sport deluxe needs a covered wagon to BC from Calgary

well. she's done!!
except for the wheel alignment that has to wait for the spring... she's done.  now I need to get her to Coquitlam.  Does anyone have any suggestions for transportation?
I wont have the time to drive back and do the trip... at least not yet, and the highways are not the greatest at the moment.

I think if I owned your car Kelly it would take a armed convoy to move my car and no less. Especially one as nice as yours. Or you could leave the keys with me and I will go and get it, sure I will bring it back really????!!!????

Also try Mackie Auto Transport, they do weekly runs Toronto to Vancouver and back.  I'm sure they could do Calgary to Coquitlam.    (Hillar used them to move the Green & Gold 2+2 from Calgary to Toronto.   He found them reasonably priced and easy to work with).

Hey Kelly, I have an enclosed trailer and a Duramax if you care for some non-professional help. I'd have to go before next weekend or between Christmas and New Years. If you are up to it, PM me and we can discuss.

If it were me, I'd think about insuring the car prior to it's road trip even though the carrier's insurance should cover the load.

That definatly seems resonable for going in an enclosed trailer. So is it on route then?

It's a little higher than I thought it would be, but still reasonable.  As I said, Hillar was happy with their service.

More photos to follow for sure.. once it's here I'll be taking all sorts of "action" shots in the park... by the bridges, babes... etc.. LOL

I'm holding off for a few weeks I think, but it will be here in the new year... probably second week in Jan. or so.

I was pretty happy with that price actually.. I figured it would cost me about 400 in fuel.. then 4 trips from Vanc.. to calgary (to return the trailer from my buddy) so 4 days are written off.. 2 of them are time off work days.. so thats about a grand.. plus wear and tear.

or scenario 2: I fly home (anywhere from 350.00 to 550.00) then rent a hauler and truck to drive out here.. still over a grand.

The SUPER offer from 76sd396 is incredible!! Which is the route i really want to go. But we'll see how the cards fall with timing. Again.. thank you for such a great offer.

Kelly, the Mackie deal is pretty good because I'm sure my truck will eat about $500 in diesel to do the 2000km round trip pulling an enclosed trailer, plus meals and accomodation for a night. It looks like my offer is only on par with the pros and not as cheap as first thought. It would be close. Keep me in mind as an option.

Sorry Elroy, not my car but I wish it was.  It's very close to being a twin to mine.  It was for sale in about 1990 in Calgary by a doctor named Mac Logan.  I could have bought it at the time for $9500.  It is 325hp 396ci TH400, with open 2.93 gears, PS, PB, GG paint, gold interior, shoulder belts, and it was a stripe car.  So close to being the same as mine.  Anyhow, I was too young and could barely afford food let alone another SD car. As well, no place to keep it.  From what I heard, this car ended up in the states somewhere.  Out of the 451 67 SD cars, I've seen 4 GG cars and two are stripe cars.  Bet quite a few of the 117 stripe cars were gold.
