67 Canso SD measurements needed

Another CP member, (Badacadian) and I have been discussing hole placements in the sheet metal for various trim pieces on a a 67 Canso SD.

Does anyone have a 67 SD with trim off that we can use to get some dimensions?

Thanks.

Mostly no, sadly.

I think the trunk cove mouldings are the same.

I will look at pictures because I think the Sport Deluxe on the 1/4 panels is the same.

Those 2 would be a start at least, if you could.

Thanks for the help.

If you could give me a description or picture of what you want that would be great.

In this picture, I woud be looking for measurements to install the clips for the moulding that goes all the way across the trunk above "Acadian", down the side, all the way across the bottom and up other side. Does that make any sense? Same on 66 or 67 Canso or SD.

This is better.

The one on the right side "Sport Deluxe" and the one top centre on the lid that has the big "A" on it.

That would be great. Not a hurry, but thanks if that works out. I'll file it all away. Badacadian will be happy to see that too, I'm sure.

Wow, that is EXCELLENT! Thank you very much.

I am going to save that and print it off. That will be a very big help.

You could go down and help him put them on.As a matter of fact i'll come with you then we can both see his cars.

I love that idea! Just say when. If you come in the summer, bring your fishing rods and we'll go to the lake for the day.

I have never been to Manitoba, been to Regina and we lived in Assiniboia,Sask
for a few years but that's the furthest east my travels have taken me. Actually,
with spring flood season in a few months we might be helping him build an arch
instead.
What a beautiful fish, I bet the old heart was doing double time.

Yeah, maybe in a few months my back yard will look like that! I hope not...

That was the biggest fish I've ever caught. I have not fished in many places other than Clearwater Bay near Kenora where this pic was taken. In 53 years, I had never been along in the boat to see a bigger fish pulled in than this one.

And then only a year or two later my nephew was with me about 2 miles from this picture and pulled in a much longer Jack.

The one I caught might have been bigger but Carl's is much more of a rarity.  Catching Lake Trout where he caught that is like finding Canadian Ponchos....they are out there but far less common.  Truth be know, he was trying for Walleye!

No fish were killed in the making of this story! You can still try again for those two!

Yup, they should be much bigger now. Both went swimming immediately again!
