Turnstone, I drilled out the rivets that hold the front face on & then got some "very "small hinges to make the face "flip" up to get at the radio & C/D if that helps you on your "COPY" of my patented idea!!!!  pete

I did the same thing with the tissue dispenser in my Laurentian. There's a thread on it from a couple of years ago (or longer) on here.

Rare now as most were rusted and scrapped years ago. 4 door hardtops were quite popular back in the 60's but not many were saved.

And you would be surprised to learn that they are now the least popular models.

You literally cannot give these things away these days.

I had one 2 years ago IDENTICAL colour combo. Except-327 250 horse, Powerglide, Power Windows, Bumper guards, Tinted Glass, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Factory Air, Remote Mirror, Padded Dash, Tilt Steering, FACTORY Cruise Control. NOT RUNNING, 100% complete, NO BODY RUST and 75% original paint. It needed SOME floor work but not much. I finally sold it for $2,750. I should have parted it out for what I got for it. Nope 4 door hardtops are WORTHLESS and they have an ugly roof profile compared to a SEDAN.

Hopefully someone will buy it as a parts car for a 4 door sedan or a 2 door hardtop
