Although he didn't pay $7,900 it was less than the $15,900 asking price. I still think it was a good deal for the car and he doesn't have any intention of selling it any time soon. He has several 69's so I was happy to see it go to him.
He is a CP member but does not get on here frequently. He knew that I had seen the car in person and I looked it over pretty well so he called me yesterday to let me know where it went.

The "asking price" had been lowered to 12,900  but I figured anything under 10 was a good deal....   biggrin

Okay the car made it home safe and sound...

Here is a pic of the Senorita home... I'll post more later on it.  Although you all seem to know everything there is to know... It is a very nice piece of the culture.

Jesse

Love to see it one day. That is a great piece of Beaumont history, being it's so unique.

Thanks Brad, yeah I made it home with narry a scratch.  Beaumont is safe and sound.

I have to say the red took all of a minute to sink in, actually looks really great on the car.  There are a bunch of small funny things that have been done to the car, but all easy fixes.

I think at this point because I am doing so much work on Jesse's Girl this winter, what with the LS, Coil Overs and A/C, I think the plan right now is to get the Senorita running smooth, take it out to one of the last car shows in town, and put it away for the winter.   I think my plan will be to put her mostly back the way she was and use it as a daily driver to run back and forth to the shop.

I think the only snag we had bringing the Beaumont home was on the Canadian side of the boarder.  They couldn't or wouldn't believe what I paid for the car...  They came back with other ones listed on the net and Chevelles listed at much higher prices.  Threatening to take the Beaumont, truck and trailer.  Even though I had all of the paperwork to prove what I had paid.

All in all a fun day, great that I finally was able to get it home.

Come by anytime, I'll have it out next year, maybe get to some shows up your way, no one eer seems to come down to Windsor.  Hey speaking of car shows, we are hosting one next June 17th...  We should try and get all the Poncho guys down.

Anyway, here are a few more pictures of the car back in Canada.  Thanks to everyone who helped make this decision a good one.

Yeah I know, it was such a great feeling crossing the boarder.  Thinking of all the others that have come and gone, and this one still standing.  There are so few of them left.

It will become a great addition to the family.  I will keep you all posted on the progress.   The red is going to stay, it really looks good.

Only thing I need right now is a radio delete... Any ideas?

When I talked to you on the phone we discussed the Canadian border officials believing what you actually paid for the car.
I have heard similar stories from a couple of friends where they tell you if you confess to lying (for the lack of a better word) they will go easy on you. It's a complete violation of your rights in my opinion when youare telling the truth. Anyways that's another discussion.
You know my feelings on the radio delete and I did make a call to a guy that I know has one. He is not sure if he wants to part with it yet but if he does it's mine (yours). I will have to go over and talk to him and find out what he needs so he will part with it. Maybe someone else on here may have one they don't mind parting with for the "right" car.
I'll put your June show on my calendar so I don't forget and I when I come down you will be able to see my car out of the trailer.

You should have opened this thread for them on their computer at Customs.

Yeah I felt it too... Was great to finally see the car when I drove up to the dealer.  Felt so good to load it up and head home.

Almsot brought a tear to my eye crossing over into Canada.  I welled up with pride when I read the posts on here.  There is so much passion and devotion for these cars and this one is certainly no exception.  whether they are modified, cloned or original.  As far as I'm concerned we all own this one.  Thanks for all the help, and the details on the Beaumont.  It is going to be a fun one.

I thought about bringing up the info form the site, but there are so many prices mentioned I didn't want to confuse the matter.

Give a man some power and a good paying job and he thinks he can rule the world.  Ah well... It's home, and it's paid for and I was honest so nothing to worry about.

That's the great part, clean as a whistle, no worries. It's cheap peace a guy buys coming clean through a border.

I will for sure.  First thing was to remove the long needle in the seat they used to sew it up.

Second thing is going to be to remove the brass shut offs going to the heater core... Um after I check the core of course.

I will post pics as I go.  Not going to do much this winter with it.  But when I get to it I will post more.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop on this car.  It is really a unique example of an already unique marque.

I'm a bit of a photo hound as I love all the details of these cars and always want to learn more about them, so if you ever find yourself bored with nothing to do, feel free to post lots of pics of it! biggrin

Again, congrats and thanks for bringing another one back to the homeland!

It might be worth requesting the docs from GM again (I think someone already got them once before?) and ask George to document how many were built with AC.
