The price is being set by last year's Al Webster auction when Al's baby blue 58 348 tri power convertible went for over $96,000. That car set an all time record for a Canadian Poncho, followed soon after by the $50,000 427 1969 2+2 convertible that sold on ebay.
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
I love it too but non #'s engine or not, is it an original W-car?. I had the same question w/ the Webster car and don't believe this fact was ever revealed?.

Al Webster once told me he built the car so I took from that it is was not an original tri power car but I never asked directly. When Al builds a car it is almost impossible to tell if it is factory or not.
73SC when I saw the price that is what jumped to mind - that's what Websters sold for. Has the market shanged in the last year? Perhaps at our level but perhaps not at that level.
