I went to summit racing years ago is it still in Akron Ohio. That place like being a kid in a candy in store.smile Its always a good idea to bring a little extra cash with you, because its like going to Canadian Tire you go in for a few things and you come out with a cart full.

I was in Princess Auto in Edmonton about 10  days ago, and they have 4 post hoists! It's been at least a year since I'd been in one, so that was a surprise.

DO NOT STOP AT THE SUMMIT STORE!

I did once and it took me two hours to get out. I was driving through Ohio when i saw the place and just had to stop "for a couple of minutes"... Yeah, right.

If you really must go, leave your money in the car.

I escaped without actually buying anything. It was a severe test of my will power.

BTW, DQP, I dig those ramps... could you post pics of them in a separate thread as not to hijack this one?

Glenn, yes it's still there. I was blown away by the size of the store when I picked up my Mags for the 64 Catalina. I ordered then COD just before I left & will do the same this yr. for rear gears & camshaft gear drive set up. That way theres "no record" on VISA for the border folks to see when they punch in your info [ did I say that out loud,  OOps] If you think of the largest CTC store you know of, triple the size & you might be close to it!!!!! I know of a friend that tried to bring some stuff back & paid by VISA,border guards knew purchase down to the exact penny & what store & when, so he was "DONE" before he started!!!!!

I saw that as well & thought I'd bought mine too soon!!! There's no air lift on that one, looks like it might be lighter but capacity is the same??? Different colour too???  Pete

Never mind the lift. I can never let my wife see your spotless garages! I must have too many projects on the go.

Scott, I've got 2 cars on the go in there, Epoxy floor helps, & I just clean up after doing something in there!! If I have something that I haven't used in a year, it's "GONE" Why bother keeping it, taking up space!!! When I had the Bonnyville seats for sale out of the 52, no takers, loaded them in the truck, & went to the DUMP!!! I wasn't going to store them, wouldn't work in the car, so why keep them??? Guess I don't have to worry about being on "HOARDERS" Tv show!!!!!

Every Christmas for the past 3 years,my wife gives me a Princess Auto gift card.
I may go months without using it until I need something right away to finish what I am working on.
It's the perfect gift that keeps giving all year round...

As for cherry pickers..they are great for loading up a short block in the trunk of a full size car..

I hope to be there someday. Two vehicels, Two bikes, 74 chev truck in pieces, furniture plus the family vehicle parked daily. I have been in my new house for three years and am finally hoping to get the garage exactly the way I want it this summer. I'll remember your picture as inspiration.
