1970/71 Introductory Pontiac 8 track cartridge

Hi guys, I just found this in a bunch of old 8 tracks a guy gave me.  Its not perfect especially on the end that sticks out of the player unfortunately but it may be just the thing somebody out there was looking for in their early 70's Pontiac with a factory 8 track player.

There is no date on it but from what I remember of the music of the day these songs came out in 1970 so it could be for a 70 or more likely a 71 Pontiac.

Here are some pictures. If you buy this maybe I'll throw in about 10 more 8 tracks as they are kind of overtaking my garage.  (I'm not sure if that's actually an inducement though so think of it as optional.)

I got one expression of interest so far so I think it might be spoken for.

I'm not sure of the year of the tape, but I believe it to be more into the 70's.  The 1970 tape has a blueish cover, and includes The Guess Who's "No time".   The 1972 tape specically says 1972 on it, and has a lady sitting in the back of a Grand Prix.   With the John Denver songs, I'd say it's 1973 or newer.

These come up on ebay occasionally, just search using "Pontiac 8 track".

John Denver got a lot of royalties from Pontiac.

Could be 1971 then?  the songs sure seem to fit that year.

John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads" was released in March 1971, so unlikey the tape was for the 1971 model year.

Argh!   i used to be the music trivia champ of my time but I see my time has passed.

Too many years under my belt to keep them straight anymore.  I could have sworn it was 1970 that that  song was everwhere all the time.

Oh well, back to alphabetizing my 78's

I had to look up when the song was released, it's actually earlier than I thought it was.    I then went to youtube and watched the recording of John Denver and the other 2 songwriters perform it.  I was humming it all night.
