What's the big deal, there's an 80 Parisienne with one V8 and 1100 HP in Quebec for sale.....boy those Europeans are so far behind with their technology. On Big Honk'n Big Block can do the work of 2 V8's and 4 turbocharges.
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
I look at a car like that and I can't help but think ... what a waste.
For a race car, it's incredible, but what's the point of owning that for the road? You can't legally take the thing outta first gear in the city ... maybe get to low 3rd on clear highways. Suspension is so stiff you'll be eating your kneecaps on any montreal street more than half a month old. Even if you can get it somewhere where you can actually use any of that immense power ... a full gas tank runs try in 12 minutes, the tires fail in 15 .... You can't go anywhere in it, you can't take more than one friend, and you'd be lucky to squeeze in an overnight bag as luggage .... what's the point? It's automotive masturbation without any hope of release.
