thanks Buddy      I might buy one for my car, if they are reasonably priced  They last NOS ones sold on e-bay for 700.00

Finally a long awaited part is done ! Exact reproduction of the 1965 1966 1967 Biscayne Belair Impala Bench seat 4 speed shifter boot. Below are pictures of an NOS Boot on the right and reproduction on the left. My NOS boot is wrinkled and slightly compressed from being in the wrapper forever. New ones are soft and very flexible yet will stand up correctly through the 67 Bench seat bezel or the 65 66 Carpet ring. This is an exclusive NEW item from "Jon's Classic Impala" . This is only one of the new items coming in 2011.Thought I would share it here first.Pricing is yet to come. JK

Carl, apparently they will also be making the 65-66 carpet rings too sometime in the new year. Your strato would look great with these pieces.

So would a 66 Grande Parisienne if I could convince the current owner to part with it so I could make it a 427 4 speed bench seat car...

Very cool that someone is reproducing this stuff. Not to highjack this thread but I have been collecting the basics to convert my Beaumont(1966 Custom with the bench seat) to a four speed, I have almost everything, including the original shifter and linkage but am unsure of the modifications to the floor and what boot and retainer ring is used and what is available. Has this been discussed or does anyone have pictures of the real deal?

There is a repro metal hump for the floor. I can get you pictures of that if you like.

Pretty sure the rubber goods are repro as well.

Bench seat 4 speed cars and 4 speed console cars had humps. Both used the same floor hump.

Correct repro made by the same guy that is making the boots.

Boy I have to say the 66 boot makes the console equipped cars look kind of wimpy.

Pretty purposeful looking.  NO BS kind of look.
