Pontiac 8-lug wheels, drums/hubs

A big fan of Canadian Pontiac biggrinin Virginia (US) needs to know whether or not 8-lug wheels, hub/drums will fit on Canadian Ponticas or not.  Does anyone know?  I am assuming probably not because of Chevrolet running gear.  Specifically looking at putting 8-lug  wheels on a 1962 Strato Chief, Laurentian or Parisienne which I am currently searching for.  Thanks!

Picture 016.jpgGeorge, they won't just bolt on thats for sure, BUT nothings impossible!! How deep are your pockets??? have to change the frt. spindles, [custom machining] & rear axles are 4 3/4 bolt pattern so you'll have to swap the rear end out to a 'wide track" to get the drums to fit bolt pattern & shoes. Can be done [ lots of $$$] cheaper just to buy a set of mags. I took the 8 lugs off my 64 Cat. & went the other direction!!!

It would be nice to see a "Wide Track" 62 Canadian Poncho, though....

You'd need to swap the chassis out for that. As Pete will know the full perimeter frame on his car has a 62" or more track width vs. the 59/60" range on the Chevy chassis. The only way to cheaply wide track the Canadian car is with spacers and/or very wide/deep wheels.
