We watched the game and we were all over them BUT Hasek was really good, he kept the score out of double digits.

I like the Spengler Cup over the World Juniors going on now in Buffalo. I'm getting too old now but back in the day I knew a lot of guys that played for Canada in that tourney, and I know a lot of guys who played in Europe, still do know the names and background of quite a few boys. Popovic on defense for example played for St. Mikes here in Toronto. In my opinion he's good enough for the NHL but her never stuck. Our goalie Deslaurier is very good as is too, he has  played for Edmonton Oilers. We have Tyler Moss in goal as well  and we have Glenn Metropolit there as well who played a longtime in the show.

Jean, way to go to support and represent. it sounded like a home game for our boys. and a big win well worth the trip eh?

Jean, it's hockey, I'm Canadian, I coached for 17 years here in Toronto, one boy that passed through me plays on Edmonton Oilers, a few play in the NCAA (US College System). Anytime team Canada hits the ice we watch and cheer.

It is pretty cool that Mark Messier is coaching the team, one of his assistants Doug Shedden is only 4 years younger than me and he played here in Toronto for the Maple Leafs. Doug has probably got over 400 NHL games to his credit and I'd bet he is close to a point a game in the NHL. He coaches EV Zug in the Swiss A League now.

Good to see Team Canada bounce back from a previous loss to Davos and take Davos when it counted. We are all cheering for a win. Hopefully this will help Deslaurier get back into the NHL. Edmonton probably has mishandled him, he's got 55 games with the Oilers but now backs up Marty Gerber in Oklahoma. That's a joke for such a promising goalie but seeing all these good pros playing in the Spengler shows just how difficult it is to make the big Show.

Go Canada Go !
