WHEN I FIRST PHONED TO REPLY TO THE AD FOR MY LAURENTIAN, I WENT ONLINE TO FIND A PICTURE TO SHOW A FRIEND WHAT IT WAS. THIS WAS THE ONLY 1964 LAURENTIAN 2DR PICTURE I COULD FIND ONLINE, IT WAS ON AUBREYS 1964 PONTIAC WEBSITE. MY FRIEND SAID "HOPE THE ONE YOU'RE LOOKING AT ISN'T GREEN". I HAD NOT THOUGHT TO ASK WHAT COLOR IT WAS, SURE ENOUGH WHEN I WENT FOR A LOOK IT WAS GREEN...AS SO MANY ARE! ONCE I GOT 35 YEARS OF GRIME OFF IT, THE GREEN WAS ACTUALLY QUITE NICE IMO.smile

327 in this one.  I'd heard at one time that the optional High perf 327 was almost as rare as the '409. ?? None sure if this one was lower HP version or not.  I unsderstand that the higher HP 327 for 1964 had AFB carb instead of rochester, 2.5 inch exhaust manifolds and higher compression.   This one in the photo looks like a rochester carb,.. so likely,.. low HP 327.

Ya, it will be reallly interesting to see how that exhaust is installed.   With a frame that is so low to the ground,.... it looks impossible to route anything off the headers at all with that type of frame design!  But,.I would image that they must have some idea ? 


I didn't realize that the custom shop doing this work is only an hour from where I live!  I didn't think we had any shop in Manitoba that does this caliber of work. It looked more like a California company. The shop is in Bousejour Manitoba.

Here's a nother 2 pics of the same "1964 Parisienne" project.  Quite frankly ,... what the outside of the car will look like has more of my interest.

I've seen where they put a piece of Rectangular tubing throught the frame for the exhaust ( rec at that point ) to route through. seen it done on a 64 Impala that was in the weeds!!
