when i left kitchener in '79 i sold my 66 beaumont custom that i had 'restored' (theres a whole new meaning to that word today) only to buy a '67 custom as soon as i landed on the island. the amount of beaumonts, lemans and parisiennes ive owned to drive, since then is long and probably boring, but to give you an idea of the amount of cars we've bought for the tin man auto is now surpassed 3000. but that includes not only pontiacs but all 1958~74 impalas, novas, montes, camaros as well as buick skylark~gs, olds cutlass~442, lemans~gto firebird etc. to answer a few other questions asked, a chap named tony demares (late) owned scrap king and muscle car universe are 2 fireman named greg and mike who do the ebay thing.

Now that it is known that Dave is a good-guy, we should probably edit the name of the thread LOL

Definition of INFAMOUS
1: having a reputation of the worst kind : notoriously evil
2: causing or bringing infamy : disgraceful
3: convicted of an offense bringing infamy

Welcome aboard Dave. I remember seeing your ads in the Old Car Trader when I was a teenager (oh about 1986) and wishing I lived out west to see all these great cars and parts.

Welcome Dave. the reason i had asked is that I have a old 55 gmc that I picked up in esquimalt in the late 80s and thru the trials and tribulation of owning a old beater I thought I knew all the dismantlers and wrecking yards. scrap king I knew from selling a couple of Cadillacs that I had bought as drivers while the ship was in. you said that he is deceased are they still operating?

Welcome Dave. We've spoke over the phone a few times and I bought parts from you as well.

Keep up the good work finding those old GM parts! You're helping a lot of people finish their cars.

Welcome Dave. I also talked to you a few times over the years while searching for parts for my GM cars. I was always amazed at how much stuff you were able to find.

hi todd,  yes the old car auto trader should give me share options as i started advertising with them in the early 80's and have never missed an issue since (unless they screwed up, which did happen on occasion) but that is soon to change, you see, i'm very old school and i've held back as long as i could but can't hold back anymore. i never really liked the computor, i find  that it can be cold and misleading, good case in point is the reason i signed up tonight, to try and clarify the the glitch today. i thought i could just keep advertising with just the auto trader and not bother with the computor, but, sign of the times is catching up with me. we bought tinmanauto.ca about a year ago (against my wishes) and my wife made a little site so the new age could get our #. well, last week we also bought tinmanauto.com and have hired a website designer and promoter and are going on air. its a big jump for me as i'm a one finger typer and i already know whats going to happen, but i will be 56 next week and i want to retire when i turn 60 and i have an awful lot of stuff here i need to sell and i need to start now. by the way, the web designer asked me what i would like to see on our site and the first thing that came to mind was a "customers rides" page so if any of you got something you could send to me...cool!

hi steve, you may have bought that truck off of me as i had a rather large collection of 55~59 chevy gmc trucks and parts back then and probably sold around 100 trucks itsa real small world
