Just when I thought I had seen it all a guy comes in today and says "My brother accidentally put gas in the windshield washer container. I added water to it to help get it out and now the washers won't spray" confuse

I told him I'd need a half hour's labour to get it completely cleaned out, the water thawed and fresh (proper) fluid in there. He didn't want to pay and left. hmm

In order to be politically correct I will not say where the customer is from. The washer jug is in the engine compartment like any other car. He was driving an 09 Corolla.

I just completed a customer pay job of 22hours on a 04 cayenne turbo
because instead of replacing the leaking water pump , the customer decided to add multiple bottles of stop leak & coolant ( wrong type ) to the system

 The T-stat was stuck closed
The water pump impeller was broken from the blockage from the stop leak
the rad & heater core were plugged
the heater core feed lines that run under the intake were plugged solid
the reservoir bottle was half full of sludge

did i mention the water pump job pays 2.4hrs
& the pump is only $150 dollars

the bill on the total repair is over $2000 now

Can you clean that crap out of the cooling galleries in the block? If not, I suspect that Cayenne is going to have on-going over-heating problems, burnt valves, warped heads etc, etc. Ouch.
